Back in Action!

Mock Trial at UI is back in action!
One of our teams, Team 1662, headed to East Lansing, Michigan this weekend for our first competition of the year!
Team 1662 braved the courtroom (and a 7-hour drive) in order to compete at Michigan State University's Red Cedar Classic invitational.
This was the first time one of our organization's teams traveled to an in-person tournament since the Opening Round Championships in March of 2020.
It was also many of our members' first tournament ever. Shoutout to newbies Devin, Wyatt, Chase, Natalie, Nathan, and Sean for absolutely killing it!
Two of our third-year competitors, Jenna Eastman and Hannah Johnson, brought home some hardware!
Jenna (left) was awarded Oustanding Witness for her portrayal of financial forensic detective Nour Khan. 😄🏆🕵️♀️💰
Hannah (right) was awarded Oustanding Attorney for her role as a prosecution closing attorney. 😄🏆⚖️
